Chapter 120 Is There Really No Way for Us to Turn

Back?

After speaking, I was ready to leave directly.

But he grabbed my wrist, I frowned, meeting his cold gaze, “Tabatha, I don’t agree to the divorce.”

I pursed my lips, sneered coldly, “Fine, let’s go to court then. Just make sure to check for the court summons.

He squeezed my hand tightly, his dark eyes staring intently at me, his voice low and suppressed, “Tabatha, did we really have to come to this?”

“Huh!” I sneered, looking at him mockingly, “What is this, Mr. Hinton? Didn’t you say I deceived you, committed violence, and was utterly wicked? Shouldn’t you be eager to agree to a divorce from someone like me? Why are you refusing now?”

He furrowed his brows, his dark eyes murky and unclear, “So, there’s nothing I can do to make amends, is that it?”

Avoiding the pain in his dark eyes, I took a cold breath and calmly said, “Walter, sign it as soon as possible. Do it for you, and for me.”

I shook off his hand, didn’t look at his expression again, left the yard, got straight into the car and started it.

The mended mirror never reflected as before, it was always a lie.

My heart was not broad enough to continue loving in silence after being trampled upon. Divorce was the best choice.

We parted ways then, hoping never to meet again.

Back to the Conner family, the mother and Alexander were busy in the restaurant. Probably hearing the sound of the engine, the mother walked out following the sound.

Looking at me, he laughed and said, “Alexander guessed right, he said you would come back, and indeed you did.”

After getting off the car, my mother and I entered the hall together. Alexander was busy in the kitchen with an apron on. Judging from the sound, it seemed that there was someone else in the kitchen.

Seeing this, I couldn’t help but look at my mother and ask, “Do we have guests at home?”

“Tabatha.” A streak of emerald green darted out from the kitchen. It was Olivia, a young girl dressed in a jade-green coat. Her hair was tied up in a bun at the back of her head, which made her look even more charming and playful.

Seeing her, I gave a faint smile, “It’s rare to see you here, have you designed any new clothes recently?”

Olivia broke into a grin, his crescent-shaped eyes blinking a few times, and said, “Hmm, yes, I came by to see you.”

As she spoke, her gaze was still directed towards the kitchen. I couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow. Could it be that she had taken a liking to Alexander?

Seeing this sobering sight, I just laughed and said no more.

The phone in my bag rang, it was Lucas calling, I went to the backyard

to answer it.

The phone connected, and Lucas’s voice came from the other end, “Ms.

Conner, have you been well recently?”

I was taken aback, wondering why Lucas suddenly started caring about my personal situation. I hesitated and said, “I’m doing quite well, Lucas. Is there something you need?”

There was a moment of hesitation on the other end of the phone, clearly considering whether or not to speak. After a pause, Lucas finally said, “Ms. Conner, are you ready for the trip to Chesterburg?”

Reminded by him, I suddenly remembered what he had told me before. I was stunned for a moment, then looked down at the time. Tomorrow night would be the time for Ezra’s party.

Into the phone, I quickly said, “I’m all set on my end, Lucas. I’ll immediately arrange for tomorrow’s flight tickets to Stonevale. Get ready, we’re leaving tomorrow.”,

“Alright.” A voice responded from the other end of the phone.
