Chapter 203 He Seemed Not Very Friendly Towards Daniel.

I pursed my lips, didn’t retort, because the divorce matter hadn’t been made public yet.

Following him up the stairs, looking at his broad back, I asked, “Did you come to discuss business today as well?” I remembered he never liked socializing.

“Hmm!” I responded, he turned to look at me, and asked indifferently, “Do you drink?”

I paused for a moment, shaking my head and then nodding, “A little.”

He pursed his lips, and didn’t continue speaking.

I couldn’t figure out what he meant, so I didn’t ask further. I followed him into the box.

“Ms. Conner.” A familiar voice came from behind.

I turned around, it was Sebastian. I couldn’t help but think to myself, it seemed like I had been seeing him every day for the past couple of days. But this time, there was also that mysterious man in a wheelchair next to him – Daniel.

The man still looked the same, wearing a duckbill cap on his head and a mask on his face. All that was visible were a pair of shiny black eyes. Firstly, I didn’t have the habit of staring at others, and secondly, Daniel was a patient, a patient with mobility issues and a face he didn’t want others to see. So, after glancing at him, I turned to Sebastian and asked, “Are you guys eating here too?”

Sebastian pushed Daniel forward, nodded slightly, and said, “Hmm, Daniel, come over here to discuss something.” After speaking, he looked at Walter next to me and said, “Mr. Hinton, hello.”

Walter had always been cold towards strangers. He gave a slight nod, his dark eyes briefly scanning the mysterious Daniel. His eyes narrowed slightly, but he didn’t say much.

I originally wanted to introduce, but considering that Walter and I are not exactly close now, I simply exchanged a few greetings with Sebastian and Daniel, and then we parted ways.

Walter watched as Daniel was pushed away by Sebastian, his dark eyes somewhat profound. He remained silent for a long time before he finally said, “Is that Daniel?” Although it was a question, his tone was extremely certain.

I nodded, asking, “Did you know him?”

Walter shook his head, “I don’t know him, but I’ve heard of him. He’s in the top five on the Freyhedge rich list. However, I hadn’t heard before that he was a cripple and that his face couldn’t be seen in public.”

Recalling Sebastian’s words from last night, I said, “It seems he had a car accident before, injured his leg, and possibly his face as well. He might still be undergoing treatment.”

“Huh!” Walter sneered, “Half-dead and still wandering around, are you planning to break into the domestic market?”

Hearing his harsh words, I couldn’t help but glance at him sideways. When did this man’s mouth become so venomous?

Seeing me looking at him, he didn’t say much more and led me into the private room.

In the private room, there were already three to five middle-aged men

sitting. They were either potbellied or wearing glasses, trying to look sophisticated.

Walter and I had just walked in when several people turned to look at us, their faces beaming with smiles. “Mr. Hinton, Mrs. Hinton, you’ve finally arrived,” they said.

While speaking, he gestured for me to take a seat.

After sitting down, Walter whispered introductions of a few people into my ear. They were all heads of the Southern District project, either political commissars or committee members.

I greeted several people one by one. The slender man with glasses looked at me and smiled, saying, “Mr. Hinton is really lucky. Although I’ve seen Mrs. Hinton in the news before and thought she was very beautiful, I didn’t expect her to be even more beautiful in person.”

“Lance, isn’t your new wife also very beautiful? Why don’t you bring her out to meet everyone?” someone chimed in.
