After she got up, she was about to go down when she heard a heated argument from downstairs. She came down and saw that Theodore was furious. “What’s wrong, Mr. Winthrop?” Elspeth couldn’t help but ask.

Theodore seemed mad as he slammed his hand against the table and shouted on the phone, “Get back home immediately, Arthur!”

Arthur is always calm and gentle to others. Why is Mr. Winthrop so angry? Elspeth thought.
