I Kissed A CEO And He Liked It! novel Chapter 17

Kyle hated the unplanned trip to Europe. He was just getting to know Gabrielle - hired her and took her to his home! He would have had an entire Sunday of just the two of them, inside his own private place.

It was because his brother-in-law, Andrew Kentworthy, informed him last minute of a potential prime lot that has become available to the market, and the owner had already received bids!

It had been years since Kyle had been planning to build a hotel in England, belonging to the Diamond Brand. Now, it will finally be realized thanks to his twin sister's husband.

Aside from that, he had other reasons for meeting his brother-in-law.

Andrew Kentworthy owned one of the biggest entertainment companies in England. While he may not have established his enterprise in Braeton City, he certainly had ties, one that could open doors for Gabrielle.

If anything, Kyle wanted Gabrielle to get an instant break in her career, and Andrew would give him the necessary connections he needed to make it happen.

On a Wednesday afternoon, Kyle finally sealed the deal, buying the lot needed to build a twin-tower hotel. He and his assistant, Mark, just needed the formal documents signed and discuss the potential partnership between him and Andrew in managing the hotel.

Discussing things over dinner at the Kentworthy's grand mansion, Kyle found himself distracted. He was constantly looking at his phone, waiting for Gabrielle's reply.

Recalling how Gabrielle wished for someone to take care of her, it worried him that she had not had dinner yet. From how she replied back in the survey, he realized that Gabrielle had been fighting her own battles for too long. She needed someone to help her, and he determined it was him.

He sighed and shook his head in annoyance. "Gaby, what are you doing?"

After half an hour of not getting an answer, he instructed Mark to call The Second Diamond Hotel and order dinner for Gabrielle.

"Earth to Kyle!" From across the table, Kenzie, his twin sister, called his attention. "I thought you came here to discuss business with my husband. Obviously, your mind is somewhere else."

Kyle's eyes promptly narrowed. His lips twitched for a second before giving an answer, "Sorry. Matters at home that I left prematurely."

He immediately saw the look of doubt coming from his sister. If anyone, Kenzie knew him the best! They grew up together, after all.

"Focus on Kimberly, Kenzie," he reminded her, seeing how his niece was waiting on her next spoonful of chicken.

A laugh came from Andrew and without knowing it, he made an accurate guess, "Maybe it's a girl."

Openly, they saw the defensive stare coming from Kyle. He countered, "What? Clearly, you don't know me well! Let's return to discussing business."

Kyle fixed his gaze on Andrew and confirmed, "So as agreed, profit sharing is 50/50 for this hotel and that is only because... you are my brother-in-law. More for my sister and my niece."

Kenzie wound up laughing. She remarked, "Oh, please Kyle. It's not like we needed the additional business, but thanks for taking me into consideration."

As soon as he finished the verbal agreement with Andrew, Kyle started covering his other agenda. Clearing his throat, he asked, "I want to invest in the entertainment industry, starting with Braeton. Can you point me to the right person at The BNC Media Center?"

The BNC Media Center was the second biggest media company in Braeton. The first was Channel 6, but Kyle wanted BNC to be the primary gateway for Gabrielle, especially since it was the same company where Warren was working.

Over the last few days, Warren Foster has been getting into his nerves. Learning of how he was still contacting Gabrielle, irked him to the core. He especially did not like the idea of Camilla Clark, Gabrielle's best friend, getting a break at the same company!
