Lenny and Scarlett novel Chapter 47
"I'm okay. I don't need to go to the hospital."
Ignoring Scarlet's refusal, Lenny grabbed her by the arm and started pulling her away.
"Mr. Foster..." Evie attempted to follow them, but Drake stopped her.
"Please don't follow Mr. Foster anymore, or he will be very angry."
After saying that, Drake quickly went after Lenny and Scarlet and drove them to the hospital.
"I'm really fine. I don't need to see a doctor."
Sweating, Scarlet felt extremely anxious.
If Lenny succeeded in getting her to see a doctor right now, he would find out about her pregnancy.
Lenny didn't respond. He just kept on the cold expression that he had on his face. It seemed that there was no way Scarlet could escape this time.
"Well... If you insist on taking me to the hospital, I'll jump out of the car."
The car wasn't running that fast, and the doors were unlocked. Seeing that Lenny still ignored her, Scarlet made up her mind to open the door and jump out.

"Are you insane, Scarlet?" Lenny bellowed.
How could she try to jump out of the car like that?
Even though the car wasn't going that fast, if she really had jumped out, she would've gotten a bruise or two at the very least. Worst-case scenario, she would've gotten hit by another car that was running at full speed.
This girl was so bold!
"I said I don't have to go to the hospital. Why are you forcing me? I still have a lot of work to do. I can't waste my time going to places I don't have to go to. I know my body very well. There is nothing wrong with me. I can just buy some ointment and apply it where it hurts. And if I do have to go to the hospital, I can go by myself. There's no need for you to give me a ride."
"Why? Because you think it's easy to be misunderstood when you're with your ex-husband?" Lenny narrowed his eyes and asked in a cold voice.
What she had said to that guy in school came to his mind. She had a crush on her professor, Marlon Smith.
Scarlet had been racking her brain for a better excuse. She didn't expect that Lenny would offer her such a good one. What he said was reasonable.
"Well, isn't it? You have already fallen in love with Miss Marshall. It's not good for you to be with me behind her back. She will be upset if she finds out that we're spending time together."
"Are you afraid that Rosaline will be upset or that Marlon will?"
"Marlon?"
Scarlet was stunned. What was Lenny talking about? Why was he bringing Marlon up all of a sudden?
"How long have you been secretly in love with him?" Lenny asked through clenched teeth.
Did Scarlet fall in love with Marlon while she was still married to Lenny?
At the thought of this, Lenny felt a little uncomfortable.
"You were in campus that day? Did you hear what I said?" Scarlet suddenly realized what Lenny was talking about. "How could you eavesdrop on me?"
"Don't you have the guts to admit it?"
"You know what, you're right. I have nothing to be afraid of. Yes, I do like Mr. Smith. He is handsome and tall, and he is very good to his students. It's not strange for me to fall in love with a man like him."
She was just bluffing, but it didn't matter anyway. She had nothing to do with Lenny anymore. She had the freedom to be in love with someone else now.

Scarlet was so angry that she couldn't help calling her ex-husband by his full name.
Lenny almost smiled when he heard Scarlet call his name. It was much better than when she addressed him as Mr. Foster.
"You have to bring the updated clothes to my office in person every week."
"You are obviously just making things difficult for me. If I made you unhappy, just punish me. There is no need to get Mr. Smith involved. There is no problem with Mr. Smith's design. Why are you..."
Scarlet kept mentioning Marlon.
It was getting on Lenny's last nerve. He felt like he was about to explode.
