Lost in Mr. Preston's Temptation novel Chapter 71

Josh said, “Grandma Preston said that she hadn’t given you anything when you got married, so she took an old item her husband had given her and had someone turn it into two rings.”

“I heard that Grandma Preston cherishes what her husband gave her and doesn’t even let anyone else see them.”

Baxter, who happened to be next to Clara, quietly whispered to her, “Grandma Preston used an item her husband had previously given her to make into rings to give to Ethan. No other Preston gets that sort of treatment...”

“Really?” Clara muttered, stretching her head to look at the velvet box in the man’s hand.

Inside the silk box was a par of beautiful silver rings.

The man’s ring was simple and tasteful.

The women’s ring had five large slots arranged neatly, and each of the slots had a high-grade pearl embedded in it.

On the edges of the slots small claws held the pearls in place, and a rolling cloud pattern was carved on the two sides of the slots.

Clara had collected a lot of jewelry, pearls, and gems before, but she felt that the rings she had collected were not comparable to the one in front of her at all.

That Grandma Preston had good taste!

Clara was admiring the ring and hadn’t expected Ethan to suddenly raise his eyes to look at her, saying in a low voice, “Clara, come here.”

This was the first time Clara had heard Ethan call her...

It was very intimate.

When Clara saw Josh next to Ethan, she quickly realized what he was going to do, so while walking over, she extended her right hand.

Ethan picked up the female ring out from the velvet box and put it on Clara.

The ring was neither large nor small, it fit perfectly on Clara’s ring finger.

Clara moved her fingers, wondering how the ring he had just put on fit so well. Did Grandma Preston know her measurements?

“Why are you in a daze?” Ethan glanced at Clara, took the man’s ring out of the velvet box for her, and stretched out his left hand, “Put it on for me.”

“Oh, okay.” She took a deep breath and shook as she held his hand.

His hands were slender enough to see the bones and tendons.

Clara nervously started putting the ring on his ring finger, but when she suddenly remembered exchanging rings with Steve during the wedding in the church, she suddenly stopped.

Josh was waiting quietly. When she saw Clara suddenly stop, suspicion rose in his eyes. “Mrs. Preston?”

He had asked at the city hall; Ethan had gotten a marriage certificate with Clara.

But then why...

Ethan eyes suddenly sank, and he suddenly grabbed the back of Clara’s head and kissed her in front of everyone.

It was a lingering kiss, and even Josh looked away.

A long time later, he let go of Clara. His eyes though, were fierce and carried a strong warning.

“Clara, ever since the moment you married me, you have been my wife...” Ethan’s voice was quiet, and only the two could hear, but it was also cold. “In the future just you dare think of other men in front of me”

Clara felt the breath that touched her face was freezing, and she couldn’t help but tremble.

Ethan had seen her lost in thought...

“I’m not thinking about anyone. I just thought I’m too stupid,” Clara hurriedly explained. “Besides, it’s insulting for you to be compared to Steve Lane.”

If her father hadn’t brought Steve Lane into the Rowan family, who knew how he would’ve struggled to survive.

Thinking of Steve, a strong feeling of nausea filled her heart.
