Married by Accident Taming the Billionaire (Cecilia) novel Chapter 323

Chapter 323 Confession
"Cece! Watch out!"
Remington noticed what that guy was doing and shouted, releasing Cecelia and dragging her to run.
Suddenly, an explosion erupted behind them with a loud bang. Remington quickly tackled Cecelia, shielding her beneath him.
Flames and the force of the blast mixed with smoke, creating a scorching heat that sent debris flying.
When the smoke cleared and the flames subsided, Cecelia opened her eyes.
"Remi!"
Still in his embrace, Cecelia called out to the man behind her, but there was no response.
Cecelia crawled out of Remington's arms and realized that he had fallen unconscious.
She helped him up and patted his face. "Remington, wake up! Please wake up!"
No matter what she said, there was no sign of Remington waking up. Cecelia freaked out.
"Remington, don't scare me! Wake up, please!"
She held Remington tightly, tears streaming down her face.
If it weren't for him saving her, he wouldn't have been hit by the blast, and he wouldn't be in this state now.
"Remington, you can't leave me. You hear me?"
Remington still had a heartbeat and was breathing, and he was just unconscious. Cecelia continued to call out to him, and finally, he slowly opened his eyes.
"Remington!"
Cecelia cried even harder when she saw him wake up. Her tears dropped onto his face.
"Cece!"
Remington spoke, raising his hand to touch her tear-stained face. "If I died... what would you do?"
Cecelia held his hand, tearfully shaking her head. "Remington, you won't die. I won't let you die. You can't die without my permission."
Though her words sounded tough, her heart was breaking.
"I don't want to leave you, Cece. I haven't told you that... I love you."
Remington gazed at her with an affectionate look, feeling an indescribable reluctance to leave her alone.
This confession, uttered with all his strength, moved Cecelia to tears.
Her heart ached intensely, and her throat felt tight, making it difficult to breathe.
"I also wanted... to hear you say... you love me."
Remington tightly held onto her hand, seemingly waiting for her response.
Cecelia sobbed even harder, and she couldn't speak, only crying.
Suddenly, Remington let out a gasp and appeared to be in pain. "You don't love me. I'm better... off dead."
After that, he suddenly released her hand, his head tilting to the side.
Cecelia was shocked. "No! Remington! I love you! Listen up! I've always loved you. When I was drowning at the resort in my childhood, you saved me. Since then, I've had a crush on you."
Upon hearing these words, Remington's eyes widened as if he had been brought back to life.
"Cece, for real?"
He couldn't believe it and wondered, "She's the little girl I saved when I was thirteen years old? She has had a crush on me since then? She has loved me all the time?"
Cecelia, taken aback by his sudden change, became furious and struck him. "You asshole! So, you've been fooling me."
Remington sat up, catching her hand and holding it in his, placing it over his heart.
"Cece, I'm sorry. If I hadn't done this, how would I know how much I mean to you? Do you know how happy I was when I heard your response? I'm so excited. I love you, Cece."
The two of them locked eyes for a moment, and then Remington embraced Cecelia, passionately kissing her.
On this strange and perilous night, they finally confessed their feelings to each other. Finally, their hearts were intertwined, inseparable from one another.
The sound of the explosion alarmed the guests on the ship. Those on the top deck heard the noise and panicked.
The Bowman Group's personnel were responsible for calming the guests. Jersey heard the explosion and happened to be nearby.
As he arrived at the entrance of the lounge, he saw Remington and Cecelia passionately kissing each other.
It was quite an eyesore for Jersey.
It felt as if his heart had been sliced in two, shattered into pieces. He also felt as if his most beloved artwork had been tainted, which displeased him so much.
"Cecelia!"
Jersey shouted, walking into the lounge.
Cecelia and Remington both heard the call. Cecelia instinctively pushed Remington away and turned to see Jersey approaching.
"Jersey!"
Remington glanced at Jersey and didn't say anything, but he couldn't help but think. "Why does he always show up at the wrong time? Didn't he see us making out?"
"Are you both okay?"
Jersey's gaze swept over the two of them before surveying the scene, taking in the chaos and the blackened surroundings.
"We're fine."
Cecelia and Remington leaned on each other, helping each other up. Just then, Roger, Rupert, and Sam rushed in after hearing the explosion.
"Mr. Nelson, Miss Cecelia, are you alright?"
"Boss, Cecelia, are you okay?"
Everyone saw the destroyed scene and the disheveled state of Cecelia and Remington.
"Captain Shawn, there was a guy inside. He's an accomplice of Black Hawk, and he caused the explosion," Remington informed Roger, and Roger immediately rushed inside.
"Cecelia, let me give you my jacket."
Jersey noticed Cecelia's ruined dress and took off his suit jacket, wanting to offer it to her.
"No, thanks! I have a jacket."
Remington looked at Rupert, taking back his jacket from him, and draped it over Cecelia's shoulders.
Cecelia was Remington's girl, and he would take care of her. There was no need for others to be concerned.
After helping Cecelia put on the jacket, Remington looked at Jersey and questioned, "Mr. Bowman, you have an undeniable responsibility for everything that happened tonight. The cruise ship you arranged failed to provide even basic security measures. It allowed assassins and their accomplices to infiltrate, almost killing both Cecelia and me. How are you going to be held accountable for this?"
Jersey nodded, admitting his mistake. "I'm sorry. I admit it was my negligence in supervision that caused such a big problem. I apologize! I will thoroughly investigate this matter."
"Hmph!" Remington snorted, still unable to trust Jersey, especially after learning that he was the young lord of Dark Moon. Everything was too suspicious.
Cecelia felt the same way. She had once placed great trust in Jersey, but now she needed to be more cautious.
Jersey continued, "Mr. Nelson, please take Cecelia upstairs to your cabin suite to freshen up. I'll have clothes prepared for you. I will handle other matters."
"I hope you handle them well. People up there are spreading rumors that Cece is a murderer. I don't want anyone saying anything that tarnishes Cece's reputation," Remington warned, taking Cecelia with him.
Before leaving, Cecelia said, "Jersey, once you've dealt with everything, I want to have a private chat with you."
