The Charming Ex-Wife (Lysander and Josiah) novel Chapter 120

Chapter 120 Play Matchmaker For Me

Lysander turned around and left, heading toward the kitchen.

After waiting for a while, Josiah noticed she had not returned. Propping himself up, he also headed toward the kitchen.

She didn’t do anything, simply standing by the window, lost in her thoughts.

“I’m sorry. I drank a bit too much and talked too much.”

Lysander recomposed herself and asked impatiently. So what exactly are you here for today? Which family ends their party just after a few hours? Why did you come over here halfway through? To throw a drunken fit?”

“I’m sorry,” Josiah repeated.

“If you’re sorry, then stay away from me. I don’t want to see you again.”

Josiah did not respond.

“Leave,” Lysander ordered.

Josiah stood still for a long while. Finally, he let out a long sigh and said, “All right, I’ll leave.”

“Don’t bother coming back in the future.”

“Okay…”

“And stop checking Daphne’s social media updates. Just live your own life.”

“Is there anything else you want to tell me?”

Lysander paused for a moment, her lips trembling slightly. “You should stop thinking too much…”

Josiah gave a soft hum of acknowledgement.

He knew she wasn’t referring to Lysander, but the embryo that had already been treated as medical

Waste.

“Once Lysanne has her baby, you two should consider having a child of your own as soon as possible. Having a child will help you move on from the past more quickly.”

Josiah looked up. “Is that so?”

Lysander pretended to be busy. “Yeah.”

And what about you? Are you planning to get married and have kids soon?”

Lysander sneered, “I’ve already been married once. Wasn’t the aftermath devastating enough?”

quite some time. Are you really not considering accepting him?”

Lysander retorted, “What, do you want to play matchmaker for me?”

Josiah’s eyes dimmed instantly. “No, I… I don’t.”

“Then stay out of my business.”

“All right.”

Right then, the shrill ring of a phone echoed.

It was Josiah’s.

The ringtone of his phone was different from before. Previously, it was more soothing, but now it was. more frantic.

The person on the other end of the phone was as agitated as the ringing tone.

“So you’re really not going to care about me anymore is that it?”

Josiah’s voice was low and subdued. “You’re the one who ran out and told me not to look for you.”

“So you’re really not going to look for me? I’m pregnant. Even Harry, as a friend, was worried enough to chase after me. Yet you, as my man, can’t even match up to him!”

“Why don’t you go live with him, then?”

Lysanne didn’t seem to catch on. “What did you say?”

“I said, since he’s better than me, why don’t you just marry him? After all, he’s your good friend. It shouldn’t matter who you marry.”

“What kind of nonsense are you spouting, Josiah? Have you lost all your conscience? You pursed me for a long time, but now that you’ve got me, you don’t appreciate me anymore, do you? I don’t care. Come and pick me up now!”

Josiah remained silent.

Lysanne’s voice grew louder. “You have ten minutes to show up in front of me!”

“I’ve been drinking. I can’t drive.”
