The Charming Ex-Wife (Lysander and Josiah) novel Chapter 257

Chapter 257 Not A Grandson

“You’ve been driving me up the wall for a long time. See if I don’t tear your mouth apart!” Daphne rolled up her sleeves, ready to lunge forward, but Lysander quickly restrained her.

Daphne demanded furiously, “Why are you holding me back? I’ve put up with it for nearly ten years- and am settling the score today! Don’t worry, I won’t kill anyone. Just remember to get me out of the police station.”

With that, she shook off Lysander and moved to attack.

Meanwhile, Helen was not the least bit afraid. She plopped down on the ground, sobbing while slapping the floor. “Why is my life so hard? My grandson is gone, yet you still want others to hit me! Are all doctors nowadays so unscrupulous? Are the gods blind?”

Daphne could not bear it anymore. “Lysander, let me go!”

Lysander wrapped her arms around her friend’s waist tightly and shot her a look. “That’s enough. Don’t forget that we still have important matters to attend to.”

Seething with rage, Daphne almost ground her teeth to dust. She glared at Helen fiercely, then pointed at the latter and snapped, “Stop wailing! If you truly care about Priscilla, go and see her instead of putting on an act here.”

Nonetheless, Helen was not about to give in. Where’s the hospital’s director? I want to see your director! You conducted an abortion for no reason without seeking consent from our family. Are all the doctors in your hospital so big-headed?”

“You want to see the director? Do you think you’re worthy? If he were here, you’d be in even m trouble! You’ve harmed his daughter to such an extent, yet you still dare to come here and cau scene?” Daphne sneered.

“Why can’t I? My eldest grandson is gone! I demand an explanation today!”

Daphne was so livid that she picked up a nearby chain intending to smash it. However, Lysander stopped her.

“I’ll give you an explanation!” Just then, Priscilla-dressed in a hospital gown-was seen walking over slowly and with much difficulty from not far away while supported by Lynn and Fred.

She was in so much pain that she was sweating profusely. Her face was pale, but her expression was cold and stern. Clenching her jaw tightly, she moved in their direction one step at a time.

Lysander brushed past Helen and hurried over. “Priscilla, you can’t be out of bed yet.”

Priscilla took her hand and said gently, “You’ve helped me a lot already. This time, I want to personally settle things with Harry and his mother.”
