“That’s a relief. I’m not home, and you’ve grown up now. Take good care of Mom and Dad, help them
with chores.”
“I know, Lysander,” Michelle obediently agreed. “Oh, by the way, you don’t need to come back this weekend to help me with my university applications. Zachary already helped me with them.”
“He went to our house?”
“No, he probably felt guilty toward our family. He didn’t come over, but he called me to his place and helped me fill out the applications there.”
“Did you apply to a science and engineering university? What major?”
“Well, Zachary said it’s tough for girls to find jobs in engineering, regardless of the major. So, he chose materials science for me, saying that polymer materials might be a booming field and could be more suitable for girls.”
“Do you like this major?”
“Can’t say I like or dislike it. Lysander, I just want to graduate and earn a good living. Any major will do.””
Lysander couldn’t help but smile. “At your age, don’t you want to choose something like animation or gaming? I thought you liked anime.”
“Well, liking something doesn’t put food on the table, Lysander. For kids from ordinary families like us, finding a job is the top priority. Chasing dreams is a luxury for the rich.”
Lysander sighed with mixed feelings. “You’ve grown up so much over this summer.”
“Right? I feel the same, haha. Anyway, my anime has been updated. I need to catch up!”
After hanging up, Lysander felt a sense of relief.
Zachary had handled things well after getting the benefit, and the families hadn’t fallen out.

I cant get over the fact that the writer is trying to show as if the male lead has committed a grave sin. First he didnt know she was pregnant because she never told him. Second right from the start she never communicated anything. She was unbothered even during her marriage. I am not saying the male lead is great but atleast he seems like a human with emotions unlike her. And there is no context for why she is so emotionless....
The female lead is not charming but an unbothered b word, there is a very big difference. There is no point of extending this story at all because even if you write 1000+ chapters at 1001 the male lead would still be doing everything for her and she wouldnt bat an eye even if someone killed him. I mean honestly either the start should have been written better where we do understand that she was deeply affected because of her divorce or just STOPPPPP. Even for fiction it is annoying....
