The Charming Ex-Wife (Lysander and Josiah) novel Chapter 310

Chapter 310 Always Carried It With Him

“We’re sure because the hair wasn’t randomly from the room but was in… a small box.”

“A small box?”

“Well, Lyss once told us that Josiah had a little box he held precious. It was a ring box. He always carried it with him and never allowed anyone to touch it. Once, she wanted to see what was inside, but Josiah caught her before she could open it. He was livid and blew up, scaring her to tears.”

Lysander remained silent.

Molly continued, “We later sought the help of Ms. Collins and obtained two strands of hair.”

Lysander’s brows instantly furrowed. “Ms. Collins is on your side?”

“No, no, don’t get it wrong. Ms. Collins has worked for Josiah for many years, and her loyalty lies solely with him. However, I could tell that she has a good impression of you. After we explained the situation to her, she agreed to help.”

Lysander was slightly displeased. “How much did you both tell her about this matter?”

“We only mentioned that we had suspicions and wanted to confirm them. We didn’t utter a single word more than necessary.”

Lysander said nothing.

“Lysa, in truth, after we parted ways at Gute Temple that day, we understood that you might not want to acknowledge us. You went missing at such a young age, and we couldn’t find you all these years, it’s only natural for you to harbor resentment and anger.”

“Indeed, I’m not really keen on acknowledging you both.”

Molly abruptly clenched her hands that were resting on her lap.

Lysander continued, “But it isn’t out of resentment. Instead, it’s because I don’t remember anything from my childhood. In my memories, there are only my current parents. They took care of me from young. Despite our family’s destitute straits, they did everything they could to provide for my education. They were even willing to spend half their life savings to buy me a house. They are my real parents.”

“I understand. I truly do. They treated you exceptionally well and raised you like their own daughter. We are immensely grateful to them. Rest assured that we will do everything within our power to take care of them. As for their daughter, her tuition fees, living expenses, or any plans in the future such as studying abroad or whatever it is, we will shoulder all the costs.”

“Those are two separate matters, Mrs. Thorne.”

“I know”
