After some thought, Lysander said, “I might not have time for that.”
“Oh, I see…” Molly replied.
“Yeah.”
“It’s okay. You can always come home to eat after you return to the country,” Molly consoled with a smile.
“We’ll see how.”
“Perhaps your father can go and cook for you overseas. The food abroad isn’t that great. Nothing beats the comfort of home-cooked meals.”
“Yes, your mother and I will go and visit you. Don’t worry, for we won’t cause any trouble for you. You can carry on with your work. We’ll only cook and straighten the house up for you,” Howard interjected.
The intense paternal and maternal love came too suddenly that Lysander found it hard to adapt for a moment.
Seeing her lack of response, Howard and Molly felt increasingly lost. They didn’t dare to take her food anymore, fearing she might not like it.
After finishing the meal, all three of them felt quite exhausted.

Howard’s hand that held the takeout boxes froze for a moment. He quickly hid his embarrassmen a dry laugh. “Oh yes, that makes sense. You have someone cooking for you every day when you get home, so you don’t need these.”
“Yeah.”
“We’ll take them home, then.” Not wanting to upset her, Howard reassured, “It’s okay, don’t worry about it.”
“Are you both going back to the hospital?” Lysander asked.
“Yeah. Lyss is still in the hospital. Her injuries this time are severe…” Subsequently, Molly hurriedly explained, “Lysa, don’t worry about this. You are our biological daughter. I cant get over the fact that the writer is trying to show as if the male lead has committed a grave sin. First he didnt know she was pregnant because she never told him. Second right from the start she never communicated anything. She was unbothered even during her marriage. I am not saying the male lead is great but atleast he seems like a human with emotions unlike her. And there is no context for why she is so emotionless....
The female lead is not charming but an unbothered b word, there is a very big difference. There is no point of extending this story at all because even if you write 1000+ chapters at 1001 the male lead would still be doing everything for her and she wouldnt bat an eye even if someone killed him. I mean honestly either the start should have been written better where we do understand that she was deeply affected because of her divorce or just STOPPPPP. Even for fiction it is annoying....
