Chapter 333 Make Up A Friend
“I’m telling you, England is a culinary wasteland. There’s hardly a ything tasty. We left in such a rush this time. Otherwise, I would’ve brought several large boxes of sp. es with me,” said Daphne.
Lysander chuckled lightly: Isn’t there an Ecronian restaurant?
“There is, but the variety is quite limited. It’s better back home, where you can find whatever you want
to cat.”
Lysander: What would you like to eat? We can make it ourselves.
Daphne shook her head repeatedly. “You’re still unwell. How could I possibly let you cook for me? No way.”
Lysander: I’m already capable of working. The only issue is that I can’t speak at the moment. However, preparing a meal or two isn’t a problem at all.
Daphne’s eyes lit up. “Really?”
Lysander nodded.
“Let’s hurry. We need to find a house, then go to the supermarket for groceries and cook dinner at home!” Daphne said, pulling Lysander along as she spoke. “Honestly, my dad has already arranged everything. You could stay at our place, but no, you insist on renting your own house. It’s such a hassle.”
Lysander had her own thoughts.
Due to the incident that occurred at the Everhart residence, Rufus harbored a sense of guilt toward Lysander.
However, the distance between the Everhart residence and the hospital was quite significant, making commuting a hassle. Besides, she had her own convictions to uphold.
Daphne understood Lysander’s temperament well. When Lysander refused, she didn’t say anything.
Suddenly, Daphne’s phone rang.
Daphne glanced at the caller ID and picked up the phone. “Adrian?”
She mouthed to Lysander. “It’s Adrian.”
Lysander nodded, indicating that she understood.
“Ah, all-right, I understand. However, I suspect she… Okay, okay, fine, I’ll ask her then.” Daphne covered the receiver, asking, “Adrian mentioned that a friend of his owns a house right next to the hospital. His friend is currently out of the country, leaving the house vacant. He suggested that we could stay there.”
Lysander slightly furrowed her brows. A friend? Did he make up that friend?

I cant get over the fact that the writer is trying to show as if the male lead has committed a grave sin. First he didnt know she was pregnant because she never told him. Second right from the start she never communicated anything. She was unbothered even during her marriage. I am not saying the male lead is great but atleast he seems like a human with emotions unlike her. And there is no context for why she is so emotionless....
The female lead is not charming but an unbothered b word, there is a very big difference. There is no point of extending this story at all because even if you write 1000+ chapters at 1001 the male lead would still be doing everything for her and she wouldnt bat an eye even if someone killed him. I mean honestly either the start should have been written better where we do understand that she was deeply affected because of her divorce or just STOPPPPP. Even for fiction it is annoying....
