The Charming Ex-Wife (Lysander and Josiah) novel Chapter 82

Chapter 82 I’ve Kept My Promise

As he spoke, Aiden pointed to Lysander beside him.

Elsa was stunned for a moment. “Huh?”

“What’s wrong with that? One hundred people, cach donating 400cc of blood. Isn’t that a lot? How many times do you usually have to go out to gather one hundred blood donors? It’s a very profitable business to exchange one contact for so much blood

Elsa hesitated. “But, isn’t this unethical?”

“What’s wrong with it? If it’s not enough, I can do two hundred or three hundred. It’s all possible.”

Elsa chuckled and looked at Lysander. “Dr. Thorne…”

Lysander asked, “Is the hospital blood bank experiencing a shortage of blood recently?”

Elsa nodded vigorously. “Extremely short. There are several high-risk pregnant women in the obstetrics and gynecology department recently. They will likely need blood transfusions. I’m afraid that when the time comes, we will have to request blood from another hospital, which will take time and may delay the rescue.”

She knew all of those high-risk pregnant women, all of whom she had taken care of.

Indeed, one must be fully prepared. Otherwise, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Aiden asked, “What do you think? Let’s make it five hundred people. Do you want to make this deal?”

Elsa shook her head. “Let’s forget it. This doesn’t comply with the regulations—”

“Do it.” Lysander asked Aiden, “Are you sure you can get five hundred people?”

Aiden immediately nodded. “It’s a piece of cake.”

“Is it legal?”

Aiden smiled. “Pretty, what do you take me for? A human trafficker? Don’t worry. It’s absolutely legal and the people coming to donate blood are doing so willingly

Lysander replied, “All right. Go ahead and call them now then.”

Aiden said, “Just let me call them, but what if I do and then you change your mind and refuse to give me your number?”

Lysander thought for a moment and picked up a pen and paper from the table before writing with one hand while covering the words with the other. After finishing writing, she turned the paper over on the table.

“I’ve written my contact information on here. This paper will stay here, with each of us holding down

Aiden looked at her face.

“Deal.”

Soon enough, the people that he called started to arrive one by one.

They were all young people, dressed professionally and behaving politely, looking like office workers.

Elsa was a bit surprised. “Are these all employees of your company? Are you their boss?”

He stood with his arms crossed, using two fingers to press down on the paper on the table, and smiled as he looked at Lysander. “Yes. I gave them half a day off with pay and doubled their year-end bonuses, so of course they’re willing to come.”

He winked at Lysander. “How about it, Pretty? How many people so far?”

Lysander was tallying the count on a notebook, having already written several rows. She was just putting the final stroke on the last character of “495.”

Aiden tapped on the overturned paper with his hand while indicating to her. “There are five more,”
