Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia) novel Chapter 247

Chapter 247 I Miss You

After leaving Fabuca County, the car drove smoothly on the expressway.

Cordelia lay on Elijah's lap and fell asleep in his arms. It was not until the driver found a decent hotel to stay that Elijah gently woke her up.

She rubbed her sleepy eyes, covered her mouth, and yawned delicately. "Well, I'm still sleepy."

"I can't hug you now, or I won't wake you up," Elijah said with a light smile.

She blushed and quickly cheered up. "No, I don't need you to hug me."

After the driver checked in, the two went to the room together.

Seeing her frowning, Elijah thought for a while and said, "I'll ask the driver to open another room for you later."

Cordelia was momentarily taken aback and then realized that Elijah had misunderstood.

"No, you're wounded. It's convenient for me to take care of you in the same room," she said, "I have to go to a nearby pharmacy to buy something to change your bandage."

Elijah pursed his lips, looked intently at the earnest little woman in front of him, and said, "Thank you for your care, Miss Carter."

Noticing the look in his eyes, Cordelia felt a little embarrassed and quickly got up. "I'll go out and have a look."

After fleeing out of the room, she breathed a sigh of relief.

She didn't know why she was so nervous when being alone in the same space with Elijah.

His eyes were really seductive, making her feel numb.

It must be because she just got out of work and was still not used to it, but she would get better slowly.

Thinking wildly all the way, she came to the pharmacy and bought medical supplies such as iodine tincture, gauze, and bandages.

Just after paying the bill, her cell phone rang suddenly. It was Eason.

"Cordelia, have you left Fabuca County?" Eason asked flatly.

"Well, I'm with Elijah now. We plan to rest overnight in a small town." Cordelia picked up the medical supplies she bought and walked out of the pharmacy.

"Are you reconciled?" He asked with a slight smile.
