Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia) novel Chapter 25

Chapter 25 You Have a Backup

Cordelia turned back and looked at him in confusion. “What else do you want from me?”

Elijah replied coldly, “You have a backup. No wonder you wanted a divorce so bad.”

Cordelia’s face changed immediately. She snarled, “You really know how to sling mud at me!”

After speaking, she slammed the door and left the box.

Seeing Cordelia upset, Adam asked with concern, “Is everything okay, Cordelia?”

“Yeah, Adam. Let’s go!”

Cordelia and Adam enjoyed the night view of Beilve City,

chatted casually, and walked back to the hotel where Adam was staying before they knew it.

“It’s getting late, Adam, and you had a long day. You should have some rest,” Cordelia said with concern.

“I lost track of time when I chatted with you. Tomorrow…”

Before Adam could finish his sentence, the door of the car

parked beside the road suddenly opened, and a handsome man

came out.

“Honey.”

and couldn’t help turning her head. Her beautiful eyes widened when she saw the man.

With a soft smile, Elijah stepped forward without saying a word and took Cordelia into his arms as if declaring his sovereignty.

Adam raised his eyebrows and smiled calmly.

“What are you doing here?” Cordelia asked suspiciously.

“I’m here to pick you up!” Elijah said proudly.

After that, he extended his hand to Adam and introduced himself, “I’m Elijah, Cordelia’s husband.”

Adam shook hands with him. “Adam, Cordelia’s friend.”

Elijah squinted his eyes and smiled. “It’s a pleasure to meet you. Cordelia spoke of you a lot.”

Cordelia stood aside, feeling embarrassed for some reason.

Elijah looked so pretentious!

After exchanging a few words, the three parted ways.

Seeing Adam go into the hotel, Elijah dragged Cordelia into his

car.

As soon as he got into the car, Elijah raised the baffle in the car and made a private space.

Cordelia suddenly felt uneasy. She asked suspiciously, “Elijah, why are you being so weird today?”
