Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia) novel Chapter 49

Chapter 49 Please Behave Yourself

A week later, Cordelia received another message from Milo’s assistant.

[Sunshine Café, at three o’clock in the afternoon.]

Cordelia raised her eyebrows, wondering if Eva had finally come around.

On the way to the café, Cordelia received a call from Imogen. “My dear, beloved and all-around Cordelia…”

“Stop, dancing is out of the question! The last time I was your replacement, I was severely criticized by Sir Hansen. I really can’t do it!” Cordelia said hastily.

“Hey, no. Didn’t I set up a we-media? Recently, the flow has increased. I want to make a folk music-themed video. You don’t need to show your face. Cordelia, please help me!” Imogen said.

“It is fine if I don’t show my face,” Cordelia readily agreed.

After Imogen’s family had fallen, she started her own business. She started we-media on some short. video platforms and had gradually gotten on the right track recently.

As a friend, if Cordelia could help Imogen, Cordelia would naturally help her.

As she arrived at the café, Elijah was already waiting at the door.

Seeing that she came by taxi, he went up to pay the fare.

“Why don’t you ask the driver to take you here?” As said, Elijah helped her carry the bag in at gentlemanly manner.

“It is convenient to take a taxi,” Cordelia said indifferently, picking up the temperament of Evie

again.

She was cold, indifferent, and businesslike.

Elijah took her to the box.

Today, Eva’s attitude had changed dramatically.

“Hello, Cordelia.”

Cordelia looked at Eva indifferently. “Call me Miss Carter.”

Eva’s expression froze. She bit her lip and changed her words in humiliation. “Okay, Miss Carter.”

Cordelia couldn’t be bothered to look at Eva’s appearance as if someone was bullying her, so she turned her attention directly to Eva’s spokesperson, Elijah.

“Please give me all the patient’s recent examination and treatment information,” Cordelia said.

Elijah took out a file bag and handed it to Cordelia.

Cordelia flipped through the pages one by one, looking in great detail.

Eva said weakly from the side, “Miss Carter, before that, there were some general examinations and treatments, and no alternative medicine was used.”

By implication, she questioned whether Cordelia could understand.

Cordelia didn’t raise her head and said indifferently, “Miss Lewis’s leg cannot be treated with alternative medicine alone, and she will have to undergo an operation during the period.”

“What?” Eva was shocked. “Elijah, I’m afraid…”

With saying, Eva was going to pull Elijah’s sleeve.

But today, Elijah sat far away from her and did not look at her but looked at Cordelia seriously. “Then who do you suggest we invite to do the surgery?”

“My senior can do it, but he is studying abroad now. If you can’t wait, I can do it, too,” Cordelia

said.
