Chapter 164 Ashley Suddenly Went Mad

The one who pushed the door and came in was Olivia. The little girl was dressed in a milky apricot-colored military uniform, with milky ear patches on her ears. She looked fluffy all over, like a little rabbit.

Pushing the door open, her sparkling eyes immediately landed on Alexander, then turned to me, her eyes curved like crescents as she said, “Tabatha, Alexander, you’re both here. My mom steamed some rice cakes this morning, I brought some for you to try.”

I smiled and took the box from her hand, asking, “How did you know we were at the company?”

“It was Auntie Eileen who told me,” she said. “She said you were here to bring food for Alexander, so I came along.” With that, the little girl took out the warm rice cake from the box and pushed it in front of Alexander, laughing, “Alexander, I heard you’re from Springbury, where they don’t have the custom of eating rice cakes. Try it and see if it suits your taste.”

Alexander seemed to rarely eat sweets, but upon seeing this, he found it hard to refuse. He took a small bite, smiled, and nodded, saying, “It’s quite sweet.”

I stood by with a smile, it seemed that the little girl’s purpose was to see Alexander. Seeing this, I made an excuse and left.

After leaving the Conner Group, I went straight to the hospital.

I had promised Carley that I would visit her in the hospital.

It was already lunchtime when I ran into Dale, who was about to go out, downstairs. He saw me first and walked up to me, saying, “Madam, you’re here.”

I nodded, voicing my question, “Is grandma feeling better today?”

He nodded, “Much better. She said she wants some sweets now. I’ll go out and get some for her. You go upstairs.”

I greeted him and entered the outpatient building, thinking to myself, I forgot to ask if Dale Walter was upstairs. Now that I’ve completely left him, it would be a bit awkward if I ran into him.

But if you think about it carefully, it seems that we would inevitably run into each other. River City is not that big, let alone the fact that our two families, even if we don’t interact, have some cooperation in the company. There would still be some movement. It’s impossible to completely sever the relationship.

After all, we were going to meet. Thinking this, I felt slightly relieved.

“Tabatha.” I was just about to enter the elevator when a sharp voice rang out behind me. Before I could turn around, a piercing pain suddenly shot through the back of my head.

Afterwards, I was yanked back several meters by my hair, almost falling to the ground. When I regained my senses, I realized that the person who had suddenly attacked me was Ashley. Seeing her raise her hand to slap me again, I quickly raised my hand to stop her and pushed her away.

Touching the back of my head where she had yanked painfully, It sucked in a cold breath, glaring at Ashley whose eyes were red as if she was insane, and angrily said, “Are you sick, Ashley? Going crazy in broad daylight.”

With her swollen belly, she was pushed away by me. The inertia made

her step back a few steps. After steadying herself, she glared at me fiercely, as if she wanted to tear me apart. She screamed hoarsely, “Tabatha, it’s all because of you, you bitch! What on earth did you say to Walter? He wants to drive me away. I’m going to kill you.”

Saying this, she lunged at me almost crazily. I instinctively dodged her attack, causing her to miss and fall flat on the ground. By the time she tried to get up again.

Her face suddenly changed, contorted in pain, and she reached out to clutch her stomach.

Seeing her like this, I subconsciously looked down at her, noticing a faint red beneath her. Instinctively, I wanted to call for a doctor.

Suddenly, a towering figure appeared before me, his voice low and restrained, asking, “What’s wrong?”

Hearing the familiar voice, I glanced sideways. It was Walter.

Seeing him, I lifted my hand, pointing at Ashley, my voice slightly hoarse, “She… she’s bleeding.”
