Her Dark Lycan novel Chapter 7

The promise that Venus had kept to herself about escaping was now to happen, it had been a day since the entire reveal of Venus being a female alpha.

That day she felt an incoming headache and retreated to her room, the pressure of it all and everything was settling on her.

James and Sophia had given her all the medication required, as she had also caught high fever with her migraine, along with nausea, she was in a bad shape over all.

Stuffing a box of tissues and her other requirements into her bag, she wore ger hoodie and with bloodshot eyes and trembling legs she made her way out of her room.

She realised as her wolf explained; that since it was very rare for werewolves to get sick like that and specially if they are of a higher ranking, the only reason is the fact that she had found her mate but they still hadn't accepted the bond.

Avoiding and ignoring the bond would lead to weakness on both parts, Dante had not shown any traces of weakness but Venus was a trembling mess.

It was 3 in the morning, with her backpack over her shoulder and a hazy eye sight. Venus clutched onto the railing of the staircase and quietly made her way down.

Tip toeing across the foyer, she moved past the living room, 3 feet away from her final escape.

Venus felt as if it was hard to breathe, the air thinning, this was it, this was her leaving her mate and the bond, as her heart lurched and thumped irregularly in her chest.

Her wolf was also whining softly, but no.

She wouldn't loose control again and not to him.

He had taken too much.

She turned around to be met with an empty house, sighing to herself deeply, with one last look to where his room was, trembling lips she turned the door knob softly.

She had opened the door halfway when it was thrown shut, and she was roughly turned around by the waist and pressed up against the door.

Her breathing hitched by the sudden attack, her eyes widened.

Lo and behold.

Stood Dante with a bare chest, his hair messy, his eyes dark and jaw ticked. A pair of grey sweatpants hung low on his hips.

Holding Venus trapped between himself and the door that was her only escape, his minty and woodsy scent made Venus clench her eyes, no, she wouldn't loose control.

"Where do you think you're going, amour?" Dante hissed through clenched teeth, holding his little mate captive.

Venus sputtered non sense.

Busted.

Her eyes then darkened, and she pushed against his bare chest but he didn't budge, she growled and him and he growled right back at her.

"What does it look like dumbass, I'm leaving you and this cursed pack," she snapped, twisting in his hold, wanting to be let free.

His onyx eyes flashed, and he bared his canines at her, wanting her to submit.

But his stubborn little mate had other plans.

Her knee went flying to his crotch, she hit where she wanted.

As Dante loosened his hold on her and cupped his crotch, he was angry.

She ran towards the door, turned the knob only to find herself airborne, as she clutched onto Dante, feeling more dizzy than what her fever made her feel.

Putting her across the foyer, the other end of the door.

She twisted herself around in his arms, only to find him an inch away from her, their noses almost touching, both their breathings ragged.

Venus stopped struggling in his embrace, the fever and headache was making her senses reel, as she sagged against his chest.

His hands around her waist, hers placed on his chest, crushed against each other.

The soft contours of her body fitting perfectly into his hard ones.

They were made for each other, there was no other way around it.

"Don't ever-ever even think of leaving," Dante growled out, tightening his hold on her.

Venus was silent in his arms.

"Had you not done half of what you did I wouldn't have even thought of leaving," she whispered.
