I Kissed A CEO And He Liked It! novel Chapter 10

A day before.

"Kyle, son, Miss Taylor had an encounter with her ex at her apartment building, but she easily brushed him off, telling him that she was going to be living with her... new boyfriend," reported Hank over the phone, the driver that aided Gabrielle move to The Second Diamond Hotel.

Hank, in his early forties, had found a home in the Wright's and had been working for them for ten years. He considered Kyle as his second son. He was fully aware that Kyle had not had a girlfriend since, and even he had become concerned about the fact that the great CEO of the Wright Diamond Corporation was not interested in women.

Thankfully, Gabrielle Taylor came along, and Hank was happy to support Kyle in his pursuit.

From his office, Kyle held his phone up with pride. He turned to his city view at the side of his space and expressed a smirk. He thought there was no way one Warren Foster can win against him!

"Thank you, Hank, for bringing Miss Taylor safely to the hotel," responded Kyle.

The news sparked happiness in Kyle's chest that he decided to leave for home early that day.

For the first time since he lived by himself, Kyle Wright arrived at his penthouse at eight in the evening. Usually, he was home by nine, ten, or eleven at night.

He no longer bothered to give Gabrielle a call, wanting to see what she was up to. Rather, he wanted to see her while still busy with arranging her belongings.

However, after calling out her name by the door, there was no answer.

"Miss Taylor?" Kyle called again after shutting the door close. He first took off his jacket and rested it in his arm and made himself known, "It's Kyle. Miss Taylor?"

Kyle took about ten minutes, settling on the sofa, just waiting for Gabrielle to come out of her room, but after not seeing any signs of Gabrielle, he decided to check on her.

The door to Gabrielle's room was left open, and he allowed himself in while softly calling her name, "Miss Taylor, are you in here?"

The lights were off, but while it was dark, he could make out the figure of a sleeping woman.

Kyle took a deep breath and turned on the lights. After confirming that Gabrielle was sleeping like a baby, he shook his head and just watched her for seconds.

After studying her cute face, he moved closer, covered her with a blanket, and turned back the lights off. While he did not get to spend time with Gabrielle that night, he swore to make her atone for sleeping on her very first day at the job.

The next day, he woke up early as usual. He ordered breakfast for two at the hotel and fixed himself up a cup of coffee.

As he was sipping on his hot beverage, he noticed the frantic Gabrielle Taylor rushing to the kitchen with her hair tied into a messy ponytail.

He calmly glanced in her direction, putting down his cup, and greeted her, "Good morning." Pointing to their early morning meal, he suggested, "Let's have breakfast."
