Lord Death Is Now Back Home by Chris novel Chapter 42

Chapter 42

Looking at Susan Jefferson, Chris Shelby said, "Don't worry, Susan. I'm not going to let you live in the basement. Come on!"

"Where are we going?"

Susan stared at Chris and said with a dissatisfied expression, "Chris, I remember you saying that you wanted to prepare a mansion for us. It's been so many days. Where is the mansion you speak of?"

At this moment, Susan was full of anger.

Susan felt that if it wasn't for Chris's inability, she and John simply wouldn't have to stay with the Collins shamelessly.

Chris said with a smile, "Susan, I am here today to pick you guys up and we are moving into the mansion I promised. I forgot to tell you - I paid one billion for the best mansion on the East Coast, Cloud Bay!"

After Chris finished speaking, the air suddenly was filled with silence.

Everyone stared blankly at Chris.

They were completely motionless.

As if they were turned into sculptures.

Ha-ha-ha-ha!

After a while, the Collins came back to their senses, and all burst into laughter.

Loretta laughed even harder, "Chris, you didn't say, you bought Cloud Bay for a billion, right? Do you really think you are Lord Death?"

Laurence rolled his eyes, and failed to hide his sarcasm. Then, he sneered, "This is the best joke I've ever heard! Chris Shelby, are you delusional? I know you are crazy, and what you just said proved that. You are talking nonsense all day long. That's sick, man!"

Michael pointed his finger at Susan and cursed in anger. "Susan Jefferson, look at you! Look at your son-in-law! Your whole family are nuts! Get the heck out of here now! It's a shame to have you as one of the Collins. Get out! Leave!"

"Are you all done laughing?"

Facing the ridicule from the Collins, Chris was expressionless.

"Chris Shelby, what do you mean by that? You really think you are some superhero, Lord Death?" Loretta sneered.

Chris said easily, "At first, I was giving your family an opportunity. But now, you've proved that you don't deserve it!"

If the Collins repented, Chris Shelby would be willing to give them a chance to become a first-class family on the East Coast and perhaps even advance to the top!

But now it seemed unnecessary.
