Susan sighed and said, “I’m at a loss for words. Sure, Lysanne may be naive, but her parents have had a relationship with our family for decades. They even helped me when I was pregnant. They’re both really good people.”
Lysander was somewhat agitated. “Madam Susan, if there’s nothing else, I’ll hang up now,”
“Oh, are you still at works I hope I’m not disturbing you.”
“No. I’ve already finished work, but there’s still something I need to attend to.

With urgency in her voice, Molly pleaded, “Susan, could you hand me the phone? I’d like to speak to Dr. Thorne…”
Susan sounded a bit troubled when she said, “Lysander is busy right now. She’s fine, and she’s already speaking again. You both can rest assured.”
“No, Susan. I haven’t heard her voice. I really can’t be at ease, Susan…”

Lysander averted his gaze. “No. Um, I just remembered there’s something left unfinished. Your clothes…”
She scanned her surroundings and finally found a spot. “I’ll hang your clothes on the door handle for I’m leaving first.”

Lysander left without looking back.
When she was leaving the hospital, she ran into Miles again.
Upon seeing her emerge alone, Miles asked, “Where’s Josiah? Why isn’t he with you?”

Bypassing Miles, she quickly left the hospital entrance.

I cant get over the fact that the writer is trying to show as if the male lead has committed a grave sin. First he didnt know she was pregnant because she never told him. Second right from the start she never communicated anything. She was unbothered even during her marriage. I am not saying the male lead is great but atleast he seems like a human with emotions unlike her. And there is no context for why she is so emotionless....
The female lead is not charming but an unbothered b word, there is a very big difference. There is no point of extending this story at all because even if you write 1000+ chapters at 1001 the male lead would still be doing everything for her and she wouldnt bat an eye even if someone killed him. I mean honestly either the start should have been written better where we do understand that she was deeply affected because of her divorce or just STOPPPPP. Even for fiction it is annoying....
