Chapter 113 How Could Walter Have Come?

Henry’s face stiffened, saying, “Mr. William has seen countless sceneries, how could he take a liking to the view from my humble abode? But since you’ve asked, I’ll take it as a compliment.”

After speaking, he glanced at Ethan. The man was a cunning one, grinning at William, he said, “Young Master, let me lead the way for you.”

William gave a slight nod, glanced at Henry, and then led me to follow Ethan up to the rooftop.

The castle was located in the center of the lake. The view from the top floor was, of course, breathtaking. The lake water was emerald green, with a few yachts swaying in the lake, slowly heading towards the distant valley.

After finding a shady spot to sit, William looked at Ethan and said, “Ethan, may I have a cup of coffee with you?”

Ethan was clearly taken aback, a bit intimidated, but he still nodded in agreement, smiling and saying, “Alright, alright, I’ll instruct someone to do it for you right away.”

I looked around at the surroundings, not understanding why William wanted to come to the top floor. We were here to find someone, how could he still be in the mood to drink coffee at this time.

I was a bit anxious, looking at him and saying, “Big brother…”

Seeing my urgency, he gave a faint smile, raised his hand and pointed under the spire, saying, “Go take a look over there.”

I didn’t understand why, but I still walked over as he requested and took a look. To my surprise, there was a thick iron chain under the spire, extending all the way to the edge of the cliff on the opposite side.

Looking towards the side of the cliff, it seemed like there was nothing else.

I turned back to look at William, and asked, “What’s on the other side. of the mountain?”

William didn’t speak. Ethan cheerfully brought over a cup of coffee and placed it on the table next to William, chuckling, “Young Master, your coffee.”

After speaking, he looked around and saw me under the spire. His face stiffened and he quickly said, “Miss, it’s dangerous over there, don’t run around.”

Saying so, he hurriedly walked towards me, intending to pull me. I originally wanted to walk away, but seeing his reaction, I couldn’t help but feel curious. I couldn’t resist glancing at the wooden door under the spire.

Suddenly realizing that someone might be locked inside, he almost didn’t think twice and ran towards the wooden door.

“You… Ah!” A scream from Ethan came from behind me. I turned around and saw William. He had already captured Ethan, forcing him to kneel on the ground in a very strenuous posture, with his hands clasped behind his head by William.

Seeing me look back, William spoke, “Open the door, the person should still be inside.”

I nodded, walking towards the wooden door. The door was not locked. Upon pushing it open, I was met with pitch darkness, accompanied by

a foul stench reeking of blood that hit me in the face.

For a moment, I couldn’t help but retch, but thinking that Rachel might be in trouble inside, I quickly opened my mouth and shouted,

“Rachel!”

I didn’t hear Rachel’s response, I only heard a whimpering sound coming from inside.

Ignoring my fear of the unknown, I entered the spire. But suddenly, a wave of terror rushed over me. In an instant, I saw a gaping, bloody mouth lunging towards me.

“Ah!” I screamed in surprise, stepping back repeatedly. My foot was suddenly tripped by something unknown, and I fell to the ground. without a doubt.

It was only in the moment that the gaping mouth came close to my face that I realized it was a massive Tibetan Mastiff. As I saw it pouncing towards me, I knew it was too late to dodge.

Just as I was about to resign myself to fate, I heard a muffled thud in my ear, followed by the whimpering sound of a Tibetan Mastiff.

When I carefully opened my eyes, the ferocious Tibetan Mastiff was already lying on the ground, panting. I didn’t know where it was hurt, but judging from its appearance, it seemed unable to get up.

I breathed a sigh of relief and turned to look behind me.

Behind him, not far away, a man had appeared at some point. Against the light, his tall figure and handsome features were almost blinding.

I couldn’t see his face clearly, but I knew, apart from William, there was no one else here who would come to my rescue.
